Core stability is a key component in training in all sports and
is the buzz word in fitness and conditioning. The functional result
of good core stability is that when an athlete is performing sporting
movement or technique, they are able to maintain the correct posture
and alignment. It provides central body control, and allows you
to generate power by maximizing the efficiency of your muscular
effort. Scientific research has shown that core stability is the
foundation for explosive movements and control (agility, balance
and co-ordination), qualities particularly vital in contact sports.
